Lifting light objects / "Golfer's Lift"

Lean on a nearby object and kick one leg out as you bend forward. This allows the body to tilt forward while minimizing the strain on the discs of the lower back.

 

Exercise

One of the simplest forms of exercise is walking. Walking at a brisk pace with the arms swinging promotes the healing of damaged discs and helps rebuild supporting back muscles. Along with being good for the low back, walking is beneficial for the heart and lungs, aids in weight loss, strengthens the immune system, and helps to relieve stress.
